What We Do:
We are a full service bookstore serving our neighbors in southern Maine and our fellow book lovers on the world wide web. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff of seven is always ready to help with book searches, special orders, and questions about reading order of books in series. Can't remember the title of the book you want to read? Unlike search engines, our staff operates on brain power and we often come up with the desired title with very little information. We are happy to check our existing inventory of used and new books or will special order a new copy for you subject to your approval.
Today's Books at Yesterday's Prices:
Our Pre-Read Books sell for half of the original cover price. Pre-Read Books with a cover price less than $1.00 are sold for the original price. If we do not have a used copy of a requested title in stock we will put your request into our file and notify you by phone or e-mail when that title arrives at our store.
We have access to most books in print. If we do not have a title you are looking for we will be happy to order a new copy for you subject to availability and will notify you when it arrives. New books are always discounted 20% off regular retail prices and we ship anywhere in the continental United States for a nominal fee. Sales tax is added when applicable.
Annie’s Book Stop will accept your Pre-Read paperback books for credit based on the cover price of the book. We are unable to process or use credits over the phone or via the website. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Books must be in good condition and we reserve the right to refuse any book because of condition or salability. Credits can only be used in the store where they are issued and never expire. Credits can be used to partially pay up to half the cost of any Pre-Read Books purchased. For Example:
Pre-Read Total $10.00
Amt. Allowed From Credit 5.00
Total Due In Cash $ 5.00
Credit cannot be used to pay the total cost of the purchase. Unused credit will be carried over for future purchases. Credit may not be used on New Books because they are already discounted.
